Said Benabdelouahed is a Moroccan translator, scholar and university professor specialising in the literatures of Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Over the past two decades, he has translated more than fifty-four books from Portuguese and Spanish into Arabic, ranging from short stories and novels to poetry and essays. His recent work includes the Arabic translation of the Portuguese-language African short story anthology We Who Cried for the Mangy Dog, published by Al Rabee Publishing in Cairo.
