Hassan El-Gendy

  • Hassan El-Gendy is an Egyptian horror novelist born on 26 March 1989. He graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, philosophy department, in 2010, and soon became known for blending horror, mystery and historical elements in his writing. His breakthrough came with the “Ibn Ishaq’s Manuscript” trilogy, starting with “City of the Dead”, followed by “The Apostate” and “The Return”, along with other popular horror novels such as “The Butcher”, “Smile, You’re Dead”, “The Observatory”, “Noah the Slaughtered” and the “Night in Hell” series.
