Abdelrahman Mohamed Hanafi is an Egyptian writer and novelist from Alexandria and a graduate of the Faculty of Arts, best known for his works in horror, mystery and psychological thriller fiction. His notable books include “What Happens Behind Morgue Doors”, “Scenario: Case 111”, “The Demons Come at Night”, “The Morgue Guard” and “The Jinn’s Hotel”, as well as more recent titles such as “Sheikh Al‑Aswad’s Deluge”. He received the Golden Pen Award for Best Horror Novel for “The Morgue Guard”, which established him as one of the prominent contemporary horror authors in the Arab world
